I'd like to stand up in support of LTP - England did actually play some interesting Rugby, against France I thought they had a rounded game plan, pity they left it in the sheds against RSA.
One aspect of the entire tournament has gone, apparently, un-noted.
It was great to see huge men (tight 5 types) smashing into each other at pace and with total disregard for mortality. THATs what seperates rugby from sports - those few up the front who have no regard for their own (or others) mortality.
Bruising games all over the place.
I LOVED IT.
Great point, hopep. Let's hope all the tinkering with the laws doesn't negate the need for this area of play that sets rugby apart from other sports.
