I don't know any names as yet either, but I can tell you that one very high profile Force player is on a knifes edge because of other "alleged" incidnets here in WA.

interesting. Would like to see rugby take a firmer stance than what league does with high profile guys.

And the AFL, by time Micheal Gardiner got sacked he had a long list of misdemenours and i'm sure we dont to get into the whole Ben Cousins saga

Boys will be boys and a combination of youthful exuberance and beers will sometimes make some of them act like total idiots no matter the code of football they play

If this new information turns out to be founded, those involved deserve what they get and I'd expect some consistency in the way they are treated no matter their seniority or value to Western Force.

Boys may be boys but personally, if there is any truth to the allegations, I would be expecting termination of contract regardless of who it is. Never mind drugs in sport and the like, anyone capable of torturing defenseless animals is even less acceptable as a role model...there is a reason why it is considered a prime indicator of sociopaths and future serial killers. Let alone that Quokkas are protected animals - imagine if it was a platypus, koala or kakapo. In fact it is probably worse in that frequent contact means that quokkas have no particular fear of humans. Frankly, it would have been more acceptable if they had been treating puppies or kittens that way.

Yep - gotta admit I'm with Andy on this one - it's one thing to try and cuddle a quokka - they are seriously cute - but hurting anything especially when drunk is not a precursor to being a successful ambassador for an emerging sport - especially a club which seems to have to many enemies already.

Keep the violence on the pitch - we all like a beer - but we're not all idiots with a beer inside us - to make it - you need to be able to cope with enormous pressures and idiots (like us and Tah fans ) without losing it - not everyone can do it or even wants too !

Don't care if it is John Mitchell himself - if they are found to be guilty they have to go!

Can I say how proud I am to be a Force Fan - I don't want that to change

Yep, agree wait for some evidence. That was my gripe with SMH and others, flying off on a hunch or 'someone said they spoke to someone who ...".
But at a training camp, even a bonding session one, they should have been under supervision and I can't beleive they were 'getting drunk' at the pub. Hence my inability to treat the whole episode as 'reliably reported'.

I didn't intend to dismiss this with with my "boys will be boys" comment, harming animals under the alleged circumstances is unforgivable - I was suggesting that such idiocy has no borders...
