    Waratahs sign Kepu

    December 12, 2007

THE New South Wales Waratahs have completed their signings for next year's Super 14 rugby competition, acquiring the services of New Zealand-based prop Sekope Kepu.

Counties Manukau loosehead Kepu, who weighs 125kg, became the 33rd and final member of the squad, joining them for pre-season training this week.

The former New Zealand age-group player was born in Australia to Tongan parents.

A member of the Chiefs wider training group from 2005 to 2007, a broken collarbone suffered in June ruled Kepu out of this year's Air New Zealand Cup.

Kepu joins Al Baxter, Matt Dunning, Benn Robinson and Jeremy Tilse as props in the 33 man squad.

Jeez with world class props like Baxter, Dunning and Robinson, you'd wonder why they're shopping for props.

I'll wonder about that once I've wondered where they'll get a shopping trolley big enough

Of course the Tahs will go well. Most anything would be better than this year. Seriously, we are going to kick ass!

True, once the Force's butt is kicked, i'll be happy enough. Add in the Reds and it will be christmas all over again.
