Two things....2006 I said I'd be happy if we were less than 20 points down at 1/2 time. While my heart says that we're a much better team than we were then, my head says that's a good call.

Number two, I had a nice long chat with Willi Van Dyk at training tonight while getting his signature, I didn't realise he coached Chucky for Perth Gold last year.....Inside word on Chucky, he's not shown 1/2 of what he can do just yet. Willi said he played at 10 for Perth Gold and was the difference between them and ACT (who had 5 ARU contracted players) Willi recon's Chucky has the best decision making he has seen and he's just a little nervous right now. Once he has the confidence to add the run at the line to his game, he'll make a LOT of yards and create a LOT of gaps..........Words of wisdom from a guy who DEFNITELY knows his poop!

You can never underestimate home ground advantage in rugby. I never saw the game in Melbourne but by all reports the very close match indicates it should be nice and tight. I just hope we get off to a good start and don't let them demoralise us. I think that was the big thing in 2006 we scored the early try to Shepherd and it gets things going and another try to Brock James and suddenly you start putting in 100% more in everything you do.

Wouldn't surprise me - I nearly keeled over in the Reds game when he did that dummy and scored the try - rookies don't often do stuff like that - Fulvio was practically crying when he was signed up - but gave him an awesome rap last year - but confidence at that level is sometimes hard to find - took Drew 1/3 of the season to settle last year - but if all this is true then hopefully coz he is in Perth - it would be useful if he turned it on this weekend - could make the difference
