and i think GIGS got 4 or 5 pages signed on the train on the way up alone.

Tell him to piss off and actually do his job instead of harrassing people peacefully collecting signatures for a petition
Yeah I wondered after getting home whether I'd ever have any hassles doing that, but nobody turned a hair.

I didn't collect on the actual platform, but the underpass at West Leederville was a goldmine. Actually co-opted some of the punters who helped with signing people up.

There's a petition specific chat running tonight for those who want to debrief the experience from last night! and I'd def agree with Jargan, we need about 8 or more at each end of Subi with some more at both train stations....... Hope you lazy, selfish bastards at the bowlo had a great time drinking and winning meat while we slogged our asses off trying to get a decent stadium to watch the rugby at.........have I made you feel guilty enough to sign up yet!

I haven't got an accurate count yet but it looks like about 3000 sigs so far with at least 2000 of those being home game sigs. If we can cover Gate 8 and Gate 26 for 1 and a 1/2 hours before the game, we'll kill 10K before the end of the season.

I must confess to not passing the petition around Block 101, I was too busy shouting at the game!

So.....in short, get your name on weneedcorners, where I'll be tallying actual people to handle the main points (West Leederville Underpass, The top of Subi Station, Gate 8 and Gate 26)

Yeah thats where we were before the game. We were just undermanned. Mushroom said you guys were around Gate 8?? If so we got nearly 2000 signatures on one side of the ground.

Definately more people needed to help

it is dissapointing to hear people getting hasseled over signatures, we need to be very clear what our rights are to be able to confront these wankers in future!

Nah, really not that big a deal Happy. We came all the way from Mandurah with no worries. Apart from that bloke in the transit way from Perth Underground to Perth Station there were no other hiccups and we just kept handing them out on the trains.

and that's fine, however someone else who is collecting and a little less sure of their rights might be intimmitaed into putting the petition away and missing out on the opportunity!! Good on you and anyone else who knows where they stand!

I cant really do much from this side of the country but have you thought about getting some cheap shirts printed up to draw attention to yourselfs and so that when word spreads people wanting to sign know who to look for?
