Rugby needs to work together with football

I really think the WARU, and Football West along with the Western Force management and Perth Glory FC management and even a lesser extent the FFA and ARU need to put a consortium together to get this stadium underway.

I personally think an upgrade of MES to around 35,000 would do the trick and in turn, piss off Mr "wrong" Fong and his corrupt WAFC

    Cheers

BOT Here...LookinKewell, You're right on the money (Sorry for jono's rugby specific jybe) We're all about getting football Australia onside and we'd be delighted to get FFA involved in supporting the petition and everything we stand for.....Do we thing MES at 35000 is a good idea HELL YEAH! do we think that this will benefit Rugby, League and Football....of course, the one thing that the government doesn't see is that an upgrade of MES to a suitable capacity for WF home games will extend the life and reduce the management costs of their white elephant multi purpose stadium by reducing the number of reconfigurations from up to 15 down to abut three or four (Rugby Internationals, Cricket games requiring a bigger stadium and Football Internationals, anybody wanna go and see the Socceroos play someone who counts in Perth?)

Good Post mate, maybe you should swing by weneedcorners.com and share your views there as well!

No details on that BLR, but I'm sure they're worth a heap more than simply upgrading Subi Oval!

Indeed, I would much rather they save the money and not buy the moving stands and put in in Members equity, that and the 25 mill they promised us would definetely be a good start...

I think the WAFC plan to redevelop Subi Oval was 250 Mill, the Waca needed about 200 Mill and MES was 30-35 mill, do the sums people is that 1.1 Billion?

    250 + 200 + 35 = $1.1 Billion

Only if you add the additional 615 Million for lining pockets at Government House, Consultants etc

Well WACA is sorted, they are doing it with those apartment buildings right?

So Subi and MES is the only one needing funding...

Although they want to use the changing colour outside thing to try and copy the redevelopment ideas of the Nou Camp in Barcelona (stealing the idea)
