CARDIFF (AFP) — Munster won their second European Cup title in three seasons with a nail-biting 16-13 triumph over Toulouse in the final at the Millennium Stadium here on Saturday.

Denis Leamy's first half try was supported by 11 points from the ice-cool Ronan O'Gara as head coach Declan Kidney was handed the perfect send-off.

Kidney masterminded another European crown but he now leaves Munster to take on the Ireland national team job.

Winger Yves Donguy gave Toulouse a lifeline with his second half score but O'Gara clinched victory with his third penalty with 15 minutes remaining......

HUNDREDS of rugby fans have snubbed Cardiff’s hotels for today’s Heineken Cup final and set up camp at rugby clubs across the capital.

Fans from Ireland and France have crossed waters to South Wales armed with tents and sleeping bags as they try to avoid hotel bills running into hundreds of pounds for the clash between Munster and Toulouse at the Millennium Stadium.

Llandaff Rugby Club was a sea of red as 400 Munster fans paid £10 to pitch up on the rugby fields while others made parked up their Winnebagos in the rugby club car park.....

Great game and result. The sea of red looked awesome. After watching the game, you really see the difference with ELVS and not. Christ im sitting there going off my nana saying ....you cant do that ref! The game was close but as boring as batshit due to the said reason. Roll on Aug 1.
