It is a shame, but at least it wasn't the knee again.

To be honest, it was difficult watching the Wallabies games straight after the All Blacks/Springboks game. For those who missed it, the ABs/Boks game was a hard brutal game. Under crappy conditions (rainy and evidently, very cold), its was a fast and entertaining game exhibiting good skills all round and two teams determined to win at any cost (for the Boks this included a fair bit of underarm stuff).

The one thing though that struck me as the critical difference between the two games was Passion. The AB/Boks game had plenty of it, while the Wallabies/Froggies game seemed to lack it. Granted there was a little scuffle between the Wallabies and Froggies but not really enough to inspire the game.

The French game was a nothing game really. There was little that either team were playing for..the French team looked a defeated team for most of the game, and the Wallabies appeared to be in training mode, tweaking their game plans and getting ready for the Tri Nations tests.

On the other hand, the ABs/Boks game there was plenty to play for and they showed it. Plenty of blood was spilled on the field and there would have been 30+ players very very sore at the end of it.

If the AB's game was a hint of what's in store this Tri Nations season, then we are in for some decent good hard passionate rugby. Bring it on!
