    Hayden's Future

What do you think should happen with Hayden?

I feel that dodgy decision will give him another chance but the clock is ticking loud.

Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.

I think it's time to go. He scored more than 1000 runs a year for 5 years in a row(2001 - 2005). He's been in a slump more than once in that time, but got out of the slump and scored big after that, but the last 3 years it's been a downhill battle for him.
I think the stats says it all:
    2001 - 1391 runs
    2002 - 1160 runs
    2003 - 1312 runs
    2004 - 1123 runs
    2005 - 1380 runs
    2006 - 787 runs
    2007 - 320 runs
    2008 - 517* runs

It will be sad to see him go, but quit while you're ahead mate..

not too sure. I would rather see him choose to go out on top instead of another Mark Waugh decision where he was effectively pushed, sure he "announced" his retirement, unfortunately it happened the day after the test side had been announced and he had been dropped.

There are contenders for his spot, Phil Jacques (NSW) when fit again, Chris Rogers (Vic), young Philip Hughes from NSW smashed another 100 yesterday and is destined to get a Baggy Green Cap probably sooner rather then later.

Sure Hayden has seen his way out of form slums before, but age is not on his side this time around. He is the Boxing Day speacilist though, scoring a ton every Boxing Day since 2000.

Score some runs or he won't make it to that Ashes farewell he has spoken of

which will be a real shame.
ive grown up watching him play, and i really think he has been a servant of aussie cricket in his time. he deserved to be given the honour of being allowed to choose when he goes out.

i think we should all wish him the best, because he damn well deserves it!

Yeah you and a few million other people jono

I said prefer to see him go out on his terms, but if he needs to pushed, I say push him.

Australia facing a packed schedule including an Ashes tour next year against an England side that shouldn't be the push over they were 2 years ago. Cut the dead wood sooner then later.

I think he might pull the pin himself sooner, Boxing Day could be his last stand
