EDDIE JONES might have been unsuccessful in luring Sonny Bill Williams to his English club, Saracens, but the former Wallabies coach believes the renegade Bulldog will become one of the most successful centres in rugby, and the best of all the recent rugby league defectors.

Jones tried to poach Williams from the Bulldogs several months ago, but visa and passport complications prompted an end to negotiations. If Toulon can overcome those barriers - and it is a substantial "if", as evidenced by Williams's difficulties in clearing customs at Heathrow airport overnight - Jones is adamant Williams will become one of the 15-man code's feature attractions.
