    cj is gone

james his tackles werent that bad. he goes high they slip up thats rugby.

    burger is losing the plot.

generally you let the ref deal with the opposition if they wont give the ball back etc.not take it into there own hands
what message does it send to grassroot players.
    that punching is justified.

no it just means the bloke doing the citing is blind. I'm sure he still could be cited, and should be.

Schaulk Burger is nothing short of a disgrace

Schalk had no right to throw the punches to get the ball. he could have asked for it or waited for it to pop up from under bokka & wallabies players in that pile

    No Lara... you don't.

When someone does the wrong thing then you don't need to defend their actions. Don't stop liking or supporting that player, but don't try to justify what they did.

He shouldn't ever throw punches of any kind in a game and it's never justified. Might feel good at the time but it's not ok and it doesn't send the right message to the supporters of the game and future players.

Burger is certainly very very talented. But the man is a thug of a player and just needs to settle down a bit and then he'll be absolutely world class.

You can't help your team too much from the sin bin...

Stick up for a player who punched another. By defending the player you are almost effectively defending the actions of Burger, its actions like that that perpetuate the fact that South Africa are the dirtiest team in world Rugby.

But seeing as your on the Australian band wagon this week you won't disagree

Burger would be one of the top players in the world.

If he had a brain and used it.

Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.

I think Lara that you can admire and repect someone and still realise that they are not perfect. Burgers actions last night were not in keeping with the spirit of the game and it is okay to accept that. It does not detract from who he is or the effort that goes into being the player he is. However he could be even better if he found a little more self control.
