Cannington is a 24 station, but it's 15 minutes away from my place in Maddington, probably closer to 30 mins from Armadale

I rang Crimestoppers instead but I was a bit hesitant to ring through stuff because last time I did they didn't believe me and the bloke was on the run for 3 months.

    A. Hopefully no one was seriously injured.

    B. Think about this every time you get the inkling to speed a little or beat that amber light.

I can't tell you all how much extra distance 5 km/h will add to your skid.

Aside from the usual journalistic crap that has become a daily occurrence...channel 7's report on how 'brutal' AFL can be. They had Heath Black saying he has had 9 operations in the last 12 years, thats nothing! Our players can have 9 ops in 2 years! Not to mention the fact people die playing rugby. On friday night Cottesloe lost a player and that didnt crack a mention, they don't even recognise the incident or pay their respects but some Dockers player who gets hurt a few times over his 12 year career has a whole segment. Bloody hell.

People have died playing Australian Rules Football also. No matter the code, it's still a tragedy.

Agreed any death is a tragedy especially when its well before their time. My beef is that someone died, in Perth, playing rugby this week and it doesnt even crack a mention but there's a whole report about the list of injuries that a guy has had over 12 years playing AFL.

A Cottesloe player, presumed to be in his forties, died shortly after taking part in a fourth grade game at Palmyra's home ground, Tompkins Park, on Saturday afternoon, May 16th.

He walked to his sports car where he suffered what we laymen suspect was a heart attack.

He was later seen slumped in his vehicle with the motor running and the roof partly retracted. An ambulance was called, CPR was attempted by other players who were alerted of the incident but there was no response.

We were informed by the paramedics when they arrived that he was deceased.

Our club has received no futher information.

We extend our deepest sympathy to his family, friends, Club and team mates.
