    Queensland should approach Schalk Burger as import

    Eddie Jones


    QUEENSLAND coach Tom Mooney should fly to Cape Town to discover if Schalk Burger is interested in wearing red for six months.
    The Reds need a top-shelf back-rower with John Roe and David Croft both now retired.

    Imagine Burger trading a Stormers jumper for a Reds jersey. He is an incredible player. At 110kg, he runs all day, has good hands and is a top bloke. The Springbok back-rower works hard and likes a beer – he would love the Queensland lifestyle.

    The proposal to allow foreign players into Australia's four Super 14 sides from next year creates this possibility.

    i think id rather every single australian team came last that nicking saffa stuff like burger. we should have the talent in australia to not need to take saffa cheats!
    i used to think i didnt mind him, but in the recent tests he has just been DISGUSTING! if we cant breed our own rugby players we can steal ANY rugby player other than burger
