Got this in an email today:

"The federal government will be sending a $1,400.00 rebate to many of us.

If we spend that money at K-Mart, the money will go to China; If we spend it on petrol it will go to the Arabs; If we purchase a computer it will go to Taiwan.

If we purchase fruit and vegetables it will go to Mexico, Honduras, and Guatemala.

If we purchase a good car it will go to Japan; If we purchase useless crap it will go to
Korea and none of it will help the Australian economy.

The only way to keep that money here at home is to spend it on prostitutes and beer, since these are the only products still produced in Australia .

This show called 'Secret Millionaires'. Basically there's a lady who's a millionaire and she has gone back to her home town and got a part-time job and talked to heaps of people finding out their situations & at the end of her stay she decides who to give money to. She gave 19,000 pounds to a lady to pay for the running of a dance school for a year & to pay for 15 of the students to go to the city on a dance-camp kind of thing. 50,000 pounds for a girl to attend state school for 5 years and then 65,000 pound deposit for a house for the lady who runs the dance school. 5,000 pounds to a lady who supports 70 single-parent families from 5,000 pounds of her own money every year & 80,000 pound deposit on a house for the same lady who currently lives in 1 bedroom with her husband and soon to be 3 kids.
All up, the donations total almost 1/2 a million pounds.

I never knew everyday people that generous existed in this world!!

A little boy had a fit and lost consiousness at work today. I was amazed at how calm his dad stayed. I was still shaking an hour later. Good thing about being in a shopping centre is that we have a doctors surgery downstairs and I didnt have to do a whole lot.

Security could have helped with a bit of crowd control though. They turned up and just stood there, didnt bother telling people to move along or anything.
