Sounds like the (possibly apocryphal) letter written to a newspaper complaining about a new wind farm. The correspondent thought they didn't need a wind farm situated there, as the place was windy enough as it was.

Latrell Mitchell considers shock switch to rugby union

    https://www.smh.com.au/sport/nrl/lat...29-p53fjh.html

So far this bloke has been shown the door by the chooks, used as a stalking horse by the cows and passed in by the tiges. Surely even the current RA couldn't fall for the three pea trick when the pea is under the only cup?? Wants o play fullback after showing he's pretty lazy at centre. Without Cronk, Keary and Cordner putting him in space I'd rare him a 50/50 chance of turning out the end buy of 2020.

Mitchell is too close to that dickhead Mundine who's convinced him that he's the best and should be paid more. I wouldn't want him at my club even if he came for free.

A young WA cricketer on the way up. All-rounder who gets the nod from Rhino Harris, which is good enough for me

Hopefully gets managed well and avoids injuries early.

WA all-rounder Cameron Green could be the most perfect cricketer Australia has produced
    By Clint Thomas

    Updated Tue at 4:45pm

If you were building a prototype for the perfect cricketer, it would be hard to go past emerging Australian all-rounder Cameron Green.

He can bat in the top six, bowl at more than 140 kilometres per hour and has had to quickly become used to being sledged by his opponents, after former Australian fast bowler Ryan Harris recently said he was Australia's answer to former England all-rounder Andrew Flintoff.

... It was high praise for the 20-year-old, but if anybody understands what the 2-metre-tall Green is capable of it is Harris, who has worked with the all-rounder as Australia's high-performance coach.

"I spent quite a lot of time with Ryan up in Brisbane," Green said.

"It is incredibly nice the things he said about that, but I think I have made a couple of scores, so I am not looking too far ahead."

... Although back soreness has temporarily stopped him bowling, Green's batting in pressure situations has become crucial for Western Australia.

In four Sheffield Shield matches this season he has scored 394 runs at an average of 65.66, including a match-saving, unbeaten 121 against Queensland at the Gabba.

In the most recent Shield match against South Australia he hit a career-best 126 in the first innings.

He also has a bowling average of 21.53 from 11 first-class games. ...

The prime ministers of Canada, Holland and France getting caught on camera at the NATO conference doing what almost everybody else does - LOL @ Donald Trump.

P.S. Looks like I missed Sir Boris of Brexit. He was in on the joke too and probably happy to not be the punch line for a change.

Thank you Minderoo/Andrew Forest for maintaining a professional rugby union team in WA during 2019.

Outscored the opposition 508:247 in the 2 x Showcase Series and International Games (13 games. Av 39 pts/game).
Outscored the opposition 387:250 in the NRC (9 games. Av 43 pts/game).

Have to smile about the game being promoted by the Western Force and Global Rapid Rugby (as we saw it in the NRC).

Western Force average >40 points per game (with many of the games being only 70 minutes).

Average points scored by Super Rugby conferences as follows:

    23 points - Australia (inc Sunwolves) (Best Brumbies - 27 pts/game)
24 points - Sth Africa (Best Jaguares - 30 pts)
27 points - New Zealand (Best Crusaders - 31 pts)

No wonder I found SR so boring!!

Trial game btwn Waratahs and Highlanders yesterday.
Enjoyed seeing tries to Tizzano x 2, McDonald and Newsome and a fair showing by Faulkner.
Can still smile about their efforts for the Western Force.
