    Rugby Travellers Guide to Perth?

I'd like to have page with information for travelling supporters coming to watch their team play Western Force at home.

I could create a new forum - but this would possibly get overfilled and would provide too much information.

Anyone wanting to put their 2 cents in - including non locals who have travelled to Perth for a rugby game - can do so here. The Ulster folk have this page: UAFC - supporting Ulster Rugby which seems a good starting point for us.

Good places to stay, cheap places to stay, places to eat and drink, other places to head around Perth assuming someone is only here for the weekend - and perhaps a little on locations further afield for those extending their stay.

Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.

Leederville Bowling Club pre and post Force Games - friendly banter heaps of atmosphere - guaranteed a laugh.

Cheap Eats - between Murray Street and Hay Street there is a Mall (entry near Forrest Place) with cheap eateries including hungry jacks, noddles and curries - open till 6ish.

Cheap outings - walk the bridges about a 3 hour walk around the Perth foreshore - head towards the Bell Tower and follow the Path all the way around the foreshore - there are water fonts, toilets and if you get tired get the Ferry back to the Bell Tower.

Shoping - Harbour Town - on the CAT.

Rugby Shopping in central Perth - London Court (another mall off Murray St - walk under the Clock and you are there!)

Wouldn't occur to me to do it, but in recent months I have had several Internationals rave about taking the ferry from Perth to Freo to look at the river.
We all take our Swan a little for granted I think!

The ferry wine tour the other direction is a good day too (so long as you aren't driving).

Kings Parks gives wondrful views of the city and Australian flowers etc..

If kids are in tow a cycle ride around Kings Park with breaks at each of the Playgrounds.

Used to be able to hire bikes in Kings Park - getting there on foot is difficult but well worth the effort - if you are feeling adventurous try the Jacobs Ladder from Mounts Bay Road.

This will sound odd but if you have a car go to Pinaroo Cemetery off Whitfords Ave - Kangaroo Heaven - have brought a lot of visitors there and they didn't stop ohhing and ahhing - freaked a young nephew out in Novemeber as the Kangaroos were all boxing etc...

Neil Hawkins Park in Joondalup is good to - bring some bird seed and the birds will land on your arms and eat them - at least 4 different parrots - September there is a short walk with thousands of white butterflies.

Rotto day trips still get rave reviews from visitors.
