Why bother to book tickets in advance and go through all the BS?

For the last RWC we left Australia with 2 tickets between the 8 of us.

We managed to buy good tickets for all the pool games we wanted to go to outside the stadia from genuine sellers and desperate would be scalpers for face value or less.

I doubt it will be any different in NZ.

Did you go to the Final? 2000Euro if you were lucky to find someone who was selling. It can backfire.

Should be held in WA's beautiful S-W - great wines, food, accommodation and beaches. Not too sure about the availability of stadia, though...

courtesy of RyanAir we flew in and out of most games for the princely sum of $22 each - except for Marseilles which was disastrous (we had to fly to Munich to get into the place and would have gladly gone back to England via Russia to get out of the place !)

the Poms ... get good value for money coming to Australia or NZ (currently 1 pound being worth $1.97 Australian and $2.49 New Zealand

That exchange rate was correct at time of printing and you ignore the main point that the poms support their teams in force.

Regardless of being down 20% it's still good value

Waiting outside for tickets can backfire. the last RWC was unique but if you went to Fifa world cup in germany or the Ashes in 2005 where tickets were selling for 10-20 times the face value it doesn't always work.
