my selections left me with $0 in the bank, theres nearly 30 in the main leauge now thats heaps more than last year!!, see who can keep up with pace, while this fantasy rugby is very time consuming its still fun!, i like a few of the tweaks from last years comp with the news feed being interesting if not helpfull.

Good point, I guess they ditched it because everybody knew to pick Robbie Deans last year....that was good thinking ditching the concept as soon as he stops coaching.

For that matter, if you did have to burn points for a coach, who would you pick....my money would be on either the Saders (I can't remember the guy's name but the team itself is worth 10 points) or Mitch (I reckon he'd be a bit of a bargain this year because he apparently can't get on with the players)

they have put in some new BS rule this year, look at this:

"If you sell a player for a higher price than you paid, then a sell-on fee of 50% (rounded up to the nearest 0.1 million) will be applied on the profits. For example, if you buy a player for 4.2 million and when you transfer him his value is 4.5 million then you will only receive 4.3 million."

A big part of the game last year was getting the team value up before the finals but now its just gonna be pick richie McCaw and Matt Giteau because theres no point trying to make profits of cheap players anymore.

accually now im not sure how this is going to work, but im sure it wasnt like this last season.

    Rules:
"Player prices vary during the season dependent on the popularity of the player in the transfer market. Player values will not change until the season starts."

So does this mean that John Afoa will be worth heaps next round? i dont like the new system.

    Pirates Round 1

Well the Pirates team sheet has been finalised for Round 1

    Prop - Benn Robinson
    Hooker - Stephen Moore
    Lock - Mark Chisholm
    Lock - Nathan Sharpe (C)
    Backrow - David Pocock
    Backrow - Ryan Kankowski
    Backrow - Julian Salvi
    Scrum Half - Chris O'Young
    Inside Back - Ma'a Nonu
    Inside Back - Francois Steyn
    Inside Back - Morné Steyn
    Outside Back - Hosea Gear
    Outside Back - Digby Ioane
    Outside Back - Cameron Shepherd
    Prop - Gurthrö Steenkamp
    Hooker - Bismarck Du Plessis
    Lock - Jeremy Thrush
    Backrow - Leroy Houston
    Scrum Half - Rory Kockott
    Inside Back - Tim Bateman
    Outside Back - Clyde Rathbone

I think this should be an interesting group of players. Not the most amazing group but definately a lot of quality players.

I went through some of the team sheets and there seem to be some players not listed in the Fantasy team lists. Maybe the team lists i got off the team websites is wrong but I can't find,

    - Dean Budd, Blues
    - Peter Saili, Blues
    - Sona Tuamalolo, Chiefs
    - Ged Robinson, Hurricanes
    - Rynard Landman, Lions
    - Melusi Mthethwa, Sharks
    - Frik Kirsten, Bulls

Maybe I need to go through the team sheets again!!
