If AAC is destined to lock in a single position I think he would be better suited to #12 personally.
However, if his ego can allow him to do so, he may well be better off staying as the Super Sub like Rogers was to ensure he gets selected for every Test.
There's no shame in Bench selection these days as it is a twenty two man game.
sorry? your saying AAC has a huge ego? he is absolutely world class and has been selected out of position constantly. i dont think ego comes into it! he is a team player!
Giteau has the ego if anyone!

Everyone has an ego WJ but I wasn't saying he had an "ego" in terms of an overinflated one like Lote.
I was saying so long as he didn't get the shits like Rogers did from being picked as the "super-sub" all the time he would likely have a far longer career than he would if he was purely trying to compete for a single position in the Test squad.
The ability to play well in multiple positions is far more valuable to selectors than only being able to play well in one position and bairly cover any others.
In the other thread Friend is already flagging him going to #12 if it doesn't work tonight.

yep...he still may swap them and play AAC at inside centre... if it doesn't work...

But in reality thats only on the team sheet and is Coach speak to confuse other teams because if you watch the Brumbies play they swap positions all the time to make it harder for the opposition to work out their next play... they've done it for years....

so AAC may move to Inside Center when Mortlock proves that he hasn't got it?

And they now have a new Coach with a new begining.
At the end of the day, if Australia can produce a decent Flyhalf there won't be any debate as Gits would go back to #12 and the rest would be scrambling for #11, #13, #14 & #15.
