NEW Rugby Show - but there is a catch!

Hi All,

Sport FM 91.3 would like to start a weekly Rugby Show each wednesday evening to look at the Force, the local club scene as well as national and international news.

We feel there would be a market for it, especially from members of this site.

We had a sponsor lined up who was going to cover the costs, however I heard today that due to unforeseen complications they weren't able to proceed.

We need sponsors to come forward for this show to happen, in return we'll provide them with a generous number of Sponsorship announcements (like ads but with the words station sponsor added).

I've contacted Chiselhead and thank him for his interest.

Just as a rough guide the station tries to make the sponsorship as affordable as it can, so a package would end up costing roughly $20 an "ad" which by anyones calculation is excessively cheap for radio.

We would hope to have a very strong input from TWF and its members. We'll certainly promote any activities free of charge.

also - is Wednesday night a certainty? What times? I think Fox has rugby shows on a Thursday night which end at 8pm - depending on your availables timeslot, there could be some value in folloing on when these finish and making an evening of it for the local rugby fan (although you'd be up against Greys Anatomy on a Thursday so the missus tells me...)

All Community radio stations are strictly limited to 5 minutes of "ads" per hour.

All our programs are streamed on the Internet so it doesn't matter where you live in WA (and indeed Australia) you can hear the shows.

Just to update you, our streaming won't be allowed into NZ as we earlier thought, but the whole of Australia can stream to their hearts content.

Thanks for the interest to date, please contact me for more info. We're determined to get this show on the air if we can to provide a real alternative to what is provided on other radio stations sports shows.

As regards the date and time... it has to fit around the current broadcast allocation we've been given and so clashing with Greys Anatomy is not an option... anyhow I don't know what McDreamy sees in her!
