SportFM 91.3 coverage of Brumbies match (Exclusive streaming at perthnow.com.au)

    Hi all,

As promised I'll be heading to Canberra for Saturdays game.

SportFM is broadcasting the Warriors Sheffield Shield game against South Australia during the day so we'll be starting the Force coverage at 5.30 with Kick-off at 5.40.

We're hoping to have Talkback after the game, but that depends on you seeing that after the game I'll be alone in the commentary box and you can get hospitalised if you talk to yourself, so please call with your views on 9418 7700.

As always our coverage is streamed via www.perthnow.com.au thoughout Australia, a service exclusive to SportFM and PerthNow. Nick Taylor is travelling with the team and will be providing reports building up to the game on PerthNow, with a full match report the next day in the Sunday Times.

For more info on the link up between PerthNow and SportFM you can read this:-

    There's always a catch!

I hope it will be a night of celebration, certainly hoping we see the real Force on the field performing like we know they can.

    Thanks for your coverage David.

Unfortunatly you are about 3 seconds ahead of the Fox vision when I was watching Fox with the volume down and with SportFM on the Radio.

I had to go out just after 1/2 time and so SportFM did the trick beautifully for me.

    Well done youse guys!

    Thanks Guys,

I like the idea of predicting what is going to happen.

Had Sport FM 91.3 not picked up the rights people like Ecky would have been left with nowhere to go which is why it is essential we start to see some help provided from sponsors.

The mainstream media once again ignored the Force as it was an away game - what they missed was a little bit of history as the Force secured a first away victory on Austalian soil.

I am so proud of the way a tiny community station ensures sports fans in Perth get what they deserve - the right to hear their club no matter what sport, and whether it is convenient to the station or not.

We'll have the Chiefs game at 3.30 on Friday - due to a lack of sponsors I'll not be travelling for that one so we'll be taking Radio Sport NZ's commentary - if their commentators are sounding flat its because we're turning them over!!!!

    David,

I would like to congratulate you on an excellent call of the game Saturday night. Nice job, and keep up the good work.

Just a suggestion for you. Did you know that if you purchased a "Sports Ears" Radio, you could listen in to the Referee and his assistance talk to each other. It may be a good way of knowing what the penalty is for etc.

Again nice coverage, looking forward to your next call.

Thanks for the positive comments - and thanks for the allowances you are making with me being on my lonesome in the box. The Sports Ears would be a great idea if we could find a way of getting it to work with our system.

During a game I have to not only listen to the commentary and comments of the expert commentator but also instructions from the studio - i'll mention it to the tech guys and see what they suggest.

I think we're all on the same page about the rectangular stadium - it's essential.

I was also interested in the crowd figure, 15,500 roughly - that is still below our worst ever crowd against the Cheetahs, which shows just what a great base the Force has got. More performances like that and the crowds will come back, even if they do dislike Subi with a passion.
