The only reason they got 3 trys against the cheetahs was because they had about 70% of possesion, wait untill they get half of that.

So the Bulls and Stormers in South Africa aren't decent sides?

I look forward to you telling them that.

I am no tahs fan but they are going to kill the reds if the reds play the same as against the Cheetahs. The reds have been playing s#!t There is no structure and no plan, ball skills is 0 and sometimes I wonder if they know which way to run. There are one or two guys in the reds side that can get the thanks for the win against the Cheetahs and that is all.

All reds supporters should have this nightmare of how Lote runs into the back line on an angle somewhere in midfield, gets the ball of Beale and scores under the crossbar. Then a couple of minutes later the reds gets the ball and tries to run their back line out of their own 22, Cooper gives one of those stupid looping passes, Lote intercepts and scores under the crossbar.

Paid, we didn't look good in that match, but we seem to be building, did you see the match before? Continual improvement is the key here, I predict another level against the Chiefs and then we'll knock over a fragile looking 'Saders at AMI!

    @ Peter Blackie

^^^ One of the least forensic pieces of rugby analysis I have ever read. Thanks for wasting 15 seconds of my life while I read it.

Your posts fail to conceal an obvious hatred of the Reds - don't try and disguise your prejudice by pretending to have undertaken some sophisticated study of the Reds play patterns.

Be man enough to just admit you hate them.

...and yet they managed to defeat the Force in their past two encounters....oh dear!

    your point tic?

The Reds have also been the recipient of the Force's biggest ever win....how exactly does history help this argument?

I do agree with Pieter's call on there being no structure, and poor ball skills, but I don't translate that to no plan. I think it's more a case of the plan being to keep the ball alive and run the forwards around a lot. This is probably due to them having Quade and Digby in their backline, both of whom thrive on the open-field, unstructured type of play that this approach creates. Back that up with Berrick, a very astute kicker and a good tactical mind and Hynes, a quality defender who seems to be able to finish a move quite nicely. You can see that this is a deliberate strategy to free their attacking weapons.

Sure the ball skills were poor, you can't argue that tic, there was a heap of dropped ball by the Reds, and only so much of it can be explained by the strategy being employed, a fair bit of it was just plain dropped ball. I cite the loose forwards as an example, how many good short passes did Horwill put down cold, 4?

I wouldn't call it s#!t lit Pieter, but it's a risky strategy. If a team manages to lock the ball into the ruck, the Reds will lose it, because everybody is ATM hangin around looking for the offload EVERY RUCK......hope the have an efficient way of changing the focus quickly, or the better teams might start winning by a lot.

Is that forensic enough from somebody who does....honestly.....hate the Reds and thinks they're s#!t.....just ranked above the 'Tahs.....go Reds next week! here's to the battle of structure vs entertainment. I'll be making Digby the captain of my Fantasy Football team, (sure it's risky, but if they win he'll have 200 fantasy points)

Oh boy! Horwill is injured and hasn't played a game for the Reds since last year - he won't be playing again for another few weeks.

Is that forensic enough for you?

    Fair dinkum!

oops It was one of the loose forwards....Humphries did the same. Does your derision extend to the good things I said, or only the fact that I stuffed up a name on a team i don't like and rarely watch?

There were good things you said?

In that case my derision is selective - I choose to deride the negatives only.

    That seems fair.

...and the Bulls put 50 points on the Blues, who, one week earlier, beat the Force.

See, this is fun, isn't it?

nah, we have a terrific fly half, but barnes is even better imo, and that has never changed fromt he moment i saw barnes, he should be the first choice wallaby 5/8 at every opportunity. i would like to see kurts play with a specialist 12 outside him that barnes can offer though!

i would say continual improvement is one thing, but are you going to be able to maintain that form week in week out?

it was a good win, but the way the brumbies played i think any team would have been dissapointed not to win against them on saturday night!

with the team they have on paper, i just want the force to actually put a team away i guess!

If Gits could kick we would have put the Brumbies away. He must have had a Brumbies training shirt on underneath the Force jersey
