Sculptures by the Sea

Just noticed Em-Forcers avatar - If I recall, it's from a previous exhibition of Sculptures by the Sea. (http://www.sculpturebythesea.com/)

It reminded me that I heard the director (I think?) on the Radio the other week talking about it - can't remember which announcer it was, but he tried to turn the talk to AFL which was the previous story. The Sculptures by the Sea Director stopped him dead with "I don;t really get into AFL - I'm a Rugby supporter, and I'm looking forward to watching the Western Force this weekend" or words to that effect...

I've since put it on my calendar to check it out before the 24th March (when it finishes) ...

Dunno if my avatar was from Sculptures By The Sea or not... I photographed it at Fremantle dock (where you get the boat to Rottnest).
Here is another which is at Cottesloe which was definitely from one of the exhibs (2006?) - it's now just up by the OBH; and another from Fremantle.

The sculpture exhibition's really cool - some are on the beach, others on the jetty, and more dotted around under the trees. Grab a picnic lunch from the Boatshed (near the train station), or there are plenty of cafes, bars, restaurants along Marine Parade, short walk to the beach or get the free bus, don't forget your bathers, and you're set for a quality day out.

Unless it has moved in the last three weeks, the circle one is just south of the Cottesloe groin, up on the verge.
You often see wedding photos taken there.

Went there last weekend - crowded! But a lot of fun, and a lot to see

Apparently after 1:30 on a normal Saturday......you can tell it's been a while since they watched any club rugby
