Yeah, but "surplus" is fairly unequivocal.

I am and remain a JO'N fan. This turn around is yet another reason why.

Welcome back to the 80's JO'N, you have done well.
Burgs, dont patronise me by talking shit like that, how could you possibly say that Australias development pathway is behind Fiji, Samoa and Tonga, considering that none of these countries even have players contracted, they dont have professional sides nor do they have close to the facilities australia has.

If you want to talk facts, then thats fine, but dont make up bullshit or insinuate things that are not true, its insulting to those who are trying to argue this point credibly.

Since im on the subject of facts; "back to the 80's"
Well i hardly see how thats possible since the two compeitions which you are reffering to(ARC and PNC) have only been created/associated with australia since 2006.

JO'N is a modern day god, Australian Rugby is really going places, the rest of the world should follow our lead.

What was it tonight on the Rugby Club, NZRU have over $70m in their account and haven't even hosted a pro World Cup as yet. Wake up and smell the roses people, at this rate Union will be amateur again in Australia within a decade.

I would have thought that the fact that Rugby in New Zealand is almost unopposed as the National past time compared to Australia where Rugby Union comes in 3rd behind AFL and Rugby League as the main winter sports

The jury is still out on JO'N here. But I will say that I'm happy he was reappointed. It's no use wishing the ARC and PNC were viable when they demonstrably were not. Super Rugby is struggling in the current climate. So I doubt there would have been any improvement in the balance sheets of either of those tournaments.

O'Neill seems an economic pragmatist which, in the current situation, is probably the type of manager Rugby needs. Hopefully he'll provide a foil to the self serving shenanigans that dog the boards and the game will get past this in a position from which it can go forward again. Hopefully.
