watching the replay mitchell didn't even get a hand to Corey Jane... DISMAL.

But enough of picking on 1 player. What was the difference between Sharpies NO TRY and Janes Try. looks very much simular. Sharp had his hands on the ball the whole time not sure how he got called for a knock forward.

We played well for about 77 mins, defence held and on attack we finally have what seemed like an attacking plan that works, our support play was good too.

Deans would have been happy watching bambam brown and hodgo working in tandem. He would also have been encouraged by our scrum, not many have dominated an allblack front row like that. Our scrum is improving,BC has been a big help there. Not sure why Pek was pulled,he didnt look ready to come off,and looked annoyed when he was pulled. If it aint broken then dont try and fix it.

While the result was dissappointing I thought the game was really entertaining to watch for 77mins.The boys played really well especially bam bam.

We really need more depth on the bench and that will be even harder next year with the loss of gits, stanners, tai, horua, pusey, jnr,BC,drew and possibly brown(although with him bam and hodgo we have the best loose forward combo in aus).

We desperately need another tighthead and hooker for next year,Holmes is not up to this level especially at scrum time,I think he is a little light on weight and experience.

So we need to sign JOC and Brown ASAP and sign another TH and hooker asap.
Understand we are looking at Fairbrother,he collapsed a few when he came on,we dont need another trestle.

If Sharpie's try was allowed (which should have been) then they wouldn't have been in the same position 3 minutes later when Cummings crossed the line.

Thats rugby and sometimes decisions don't go your way.

Thinking you've won a game 10 minues before the end in unacceptable.

There was no double movement in Corey Janes try at the end, your allowed to reach out immediatly and put the ball down as he did and Sharpie did. The difference was the TMO said Sharpie lost control of the ball, not a double movement.

The players thought the game was all over with 10 to go, hopefully they'll learn from it.

Can someone please tell Giteau to stop flicking the ball out the back of his hand in the tackle!! Yeah mate it worked once or twice but the failure rate is excessive and more to the point other teams are hoping you do it because they are waiting for it PREDICTABLE MUCH.

We missed JOC badly tonight Junior is a good off the bench player and is very reliable but doesn’t really have the spark that is required to change a match.

but when cross did it to tai, which in the end resulted in a try, that was ok?

Crossy doing it isn’t predictable because he doesn’t do it often hence then I guess it would be unpredictable!!

SGR, mate you've seen the same as what i've seen, he did it in the sharks game and now again in the canes game.

    Nicknames = GLORY BOY GITEAU..

Just watched the 2nd half of the replay and from the time the canes kicked the penalty to make the score 27-16, we had an overlap twice, where we just kicked the ball aimlessly downfield and not into touch.

Valo boxed kicked too much in the last 15 minutes, there were opportunities there to play for territory and possession (only had about 10% in the last 10 minutes). You can't slow the play down when you don't have the ball.

His defence wasn't all bad. I want to know where the hell Drew was at fullback because I saw Gits down the back end at least 3 times picking up a kick when it looked like the Cane's were going to run onto the ball and score. He saved our butt a few times there when our last line of defence was who knows where....

    Well that's crap!!
Although it does mean Mitchell can go back to wing, Dane H-P can go to a wing, Sheps can go to fullback and JO'C/Spanner can go to 12.
