Like Dimitrou with AFL, the local government has knocked the stadium on its head, but AFL are still proceeding with the upgrade from there own pockets. why cant ARU help out and put a deposit or do up half the stadium and the government do the other.

Also on a simular point, why cant the big businesses who were putting there own money to secure big name players, put that money to upgrading the stadium then they can have the naming rights also, imagine the stadium called "LANGTREES stadium"... telling your wife, just going to Langtrees to watch the rugby, will go down well !! (laughing)

Benny, im a little confused, what do you want the ARU to step in and do? For the ARU to step in the WARU would first have to consign and admit that they are incapable of solving the situation(which i dont think is nearly the case). Secondly, what do you want the ARU to then do?

Im not even going to bother asking about your 'ARU funding a stadium' idea..

Geoff Stooke was on 6pr about 20 minutes ago and gave a much more upbeat assessment of whether the state government is going to do the right thing. The minister had earlier told Sattler that he was waiting on a letter from the ARU confirming that if the state provided the funds the ARU would guarantee that the Force was a long term entity based in Perth. Stooke confirmed that to be the case and said that he and Harris had met with Jo'N last Friday to discuss requirements. Sattler also said that the premier and a couple of the most relevant ministers have all said that they "view the proposal positively". Stooke sounded very much like it was almost a done deal.

Sounded good to me. It could be time for the ftafl badges

The Force need a third party sponsor not the players... If the S15 starts up they'll have more home games to make some cash...

Oh course its true. the force are finished unless a new stadium is found.

the product is absolute garbage and members are dropping off like flies.

Glad I don't have to deal with the bullshit that Perth people deal with these days.

    I disagree.

If that city ever decides to get its act together i'll consider a return.

In terms of Rugby....Lions test match...bledisloe cup....Perthites are f**king kidding themselves.

Weebie and Muddy, you are dead right.

The Force are finished and its about time some honesty was added to the equation.

Years of denials about dodgy deals, board members covering for a crook of a former CEO have got to stop.

The conduct of the Force has been embarressing in the last few years. They've done their best to buy success but thay aint work, so the game is over and its time to go back to basics.

I cant wait for the Firepower Book. Apparently all the juicy detail about O'Meara, Johnston, Russians, Stooke, cheap pills and women and are exposed. Or was that expensive women and cheap pills?

    Hi all,

Ive read some of this stuff before and thought it was all quite useless garbage written by people with far too much time on their hands and even less upstairs.

But some comments here are garbage.

The Force had a commitment from the state goverment to pay for an upgrade to members equity but the Force, in their wisdom, knocked this all back to join forces with the afl to stay at subi.

Now the force have realised they cant afford to stay at subi, they want to go back to the government and ask for the money back.

Is this a little naive. Why the hell should the force board try and point the evil stick at the state government when they had the cheque available and declined it?
Has anyone thought to ask the question of the force how on earth and who made this decision?

This has got to be fixed. The force are gone otherwise.

And how on earth can a business go from success to a mess in such a short time.

An inquiry in to the board, the ARU and firepower should be held to determine this.

Firepower have already ruined the Sydney Kings. Its a shame that Firepower could be allowed to do this to the Force.

And why the f&()(* else would Giteau and Mitchell be leaving? They were ripped off and I dont blame them.

    Think about it.

Guys, it all appears to me that this has been brewing for a long, long time but like most businesses that stuff up, they're usually gone or close to gone before anyone notices.

And in the case of the force, most people can see no wrong.

I cant wait for the Gerard Ryle book about Firepower and how Johnstone worked with his mate, O'Meara, to pump the force up only to see it wilter and now slowly die on the vine. These guys, and their lies and egos, should be hung out to dry.

I read the first paragraph of the book and it looks a laugh. Looks like Ryle was spot on with all his predictions about the lies and deceptions of Johnston and his mates.

I bet those people who slandered the author and SMH are running now to check their PI insurance. I would reckon its going to be hard to hide when the truth comes out.
