Ten news confirmed Josh is off to the Brumbies on a 2 year contract. They had an interview with Josh and he conirmed he's off on a 2 year deal.

Until season is over he intends to give it everything (suspension from the citation permitting) because if he doesn't it only looks bad on him and his future employer will see it.
Playing with Gits has been good, he has really enjoyed his time playing alongside him and looks forward to continuing the partnership in 2010 and 2011. Force not having a 10 signed to replace Gits played a role in the decision.

All eyes on JO'C's decision now.

Force signed Sheehan and had talks with Peter Grant while they're in Cape Town.

Brilliant news, I said to me wife last week hopefully we can get Sheehan, 'cause I don't like Val...slowing the ball down.

Valentine the latest to leave the Force

    Tim Clarke

    May 5, 2009 - 6:05PM

The player drain from the Western Force continues with scrum half Josh Valentine confirming he is following Matt Giteau to the ACT Brumbies.

Having hoped to have sorted out his future before the team left for South Africa, Valentine confirmed today he was the latest of the Force's Wallaby backline to leave WA - although the Force appear to have wrapped an immediate replacement.

Waratahs number nine Brett Sheehan is on the verge of joining the club, while the Force has also held talks with South African playmaker Peter Grant while in the country on their current two-match tour.

The loss of Valentine is a blow however, having worked his way into some of his best form in recent weeks after a slow start to the season.

The flatmate of Drew Mitchell will be following his friend out the exit door, along with Scott Staniforth, Giteau, Tamaiti Horua and Ben Castle.

"All the experienced blokes that have left, and they had not signed a (number) 10 - that was two pretty key factors on why I signed for the Brumbies," Valentine told Network Ten.

"Giteau is a freak, he is a world-class player, he makes my job real easy - I am enjoying playing with him here and look forward to playing with him in 2010/2011.”

The efforts to secure the signatures of James O'Connor and Richard Brown - who are both in doubt for this weekend's clash with the Stormers - will now intensify.

And Valentine's place is also in doubt as he attends a judicial hearing over his citing for an illegal tackle in the loss to the Bulls last Saturday.

Perhaps we should do away with the other 3 Super 14 teams and re-name the Wallabies the "Matt Giteau All-Stars". Seems to me there's no greater reason to play rugby than to run-on alongside he of the lawnmower haircut.

We signed Valentine from the scrap heap. He can take the fast road back. With the amount of signings the Brumbies have made, they will have plenty of talent wanting out

hmm ... this is a little disappointing. Perhaps he should have shown a little more gratitude to the Force who rescued his career

    agreed,
but on the flip side, he said he wanted to stay in perth, so you have to wonder why he didnt if he wanted to.

    1) he's a liar
    2) the offer he was waiting for didnt eventuate
    3) the brumbies gave him a offer he couldnt pass up

i think he owes the force, but i'm not sure what to believe at the moment. so i'm not sure what my opinion of him is now

Well, I'm disappointed. I thought he was playing well, and he brought a bit of needed aggro. Good luck to him. I hope the Brumbies are ready for the Giteau Show.
