yup, he's the angry smurf. easy to get him riled up.

I remember an interview with Kurtley Beale saying that when he was in school, Sheehan had a part time job helping to coach the Joeys team. The boys used to really enjoy getting Sheeno fired up and angry. Apparently it was pretty easy to do.

What's with you guys signing all the ranga halfbacks? Don't tell me you've put Jono on as a recruitment scout...

Forgive my ignorance - I didn't know that Sheehan was from WA. Did he play 1st grade in WA at all before being lured East?

Born in Geraldton, Western Australia on 16 September 1979 and schooled at St Joseph’s College, Hunters Hill, Sheehan signed on to play Rugby League with the Brisbane Broncos after school. Thus began a four-year odyssey that saw him play for the Broncos, Northern Eagles and South Sydney.

Returning to Rugby with Warringah in 2004, Sheehan’s no-nonsense style has won him many admirers and after playing four matches for the Reds in 2005, he headed back to NSW and is lining up for his fourth season with the Waratahs.

Sheehan earned his 50th provincial cap in the HSBC Waratahs win over the Blues in Auckland in round 7 of the 2009 Super 14.

Good point. I dunno how old he was when he went east, but I remember seeing somewhere he'd been playing in various teams with Cro Magnon since he was 13.

As we know, Geraldton was a regular hot spot for junior Rugby development during the 1980's but Sheehan seems to have learned his Rugby at Joey's.

Having said that, it's probably fair enough to claim him as a native Sandgroper going by same criteria the wise media men from the east use on the rest of our squad.

Hey, the local news outlets are happy to refer to Mitchell Johnson as a West Australian, so I fail to see how the angry smurf cant be one.

i'm sure most of us around here have seen rugby in a venue other than subi.....so i think weve got a pretty good idea of what it would look like....
