Scotch beat Hale at Subi opener

I believe Scotch College pulled off an unexpected win against Hale in the Subi opener last Saturday. Well done to the boys and their coach Moose. I think the rocket he put up them last week following their previous dissapointing game worked.

Congrats to the Scotch boys - the only thing I thought was a a bit bad was they were doing all the cheers etc when the the ground presenter was announcing the presentation of the Wallaroo cap to our friend. It was hard to hear the details and it was a pretty special moment for her. I'm guessing most of the boys didn't know it was happening cos they were so excited - but it would have been nice for them to show a bit of consideration!

“Let me put it this way, A Springbok team contains Afrikaners, Englishmen, coloureds and blacks. It has parochial foes in Bulls, Sharks, Stormers, Cheetahs and Lions. It is a recipe for war! Yet in all the years of John Smit’s captaincy, there has never been one unhappy customer, not one voice of rebellion against his leadership. He is the glue that holds the Springboks together. The man is a legend!”- Jake White
