    SA XV VICTORIOUS IN WINDHOEK

The South African XV scored a 36-7 win over a Namibian Invitation XV in a practice match at the Hage Geingob Stadium in Windhoek on Friday night, scoring five tries to the hosts' one.

The match was watched by a crowd of about 12,000. The teams ran on to be greeted by the 10 Miss Namibia 2009 finalists and the revving and popping engines of about 60 motorcycles that had lined the perimeter of the pitch.

The SA XV led 8-7 at the break after a scrappy first half. Both sides regularly made handling errors in the first half, making it a stop-start contest. The Namibian XV was guilty of kicking too much in the opening 20 minutes.

The SA XV opened the scoring with a try by wing Odwa Ndungane in the 12th minute after launching an attack from just outside their own 22.

Peter Grant failed to convert but later kicked a penalty to make it 8-0
