I think that should read "off an impressively WON series against the All Blacks"...

Let's not forget that they beat the All Blacks and won the trophy...and then the Wallabies humbled them.

The Yarpies didn't impress me at all against a very average performing Lions.

You can only beat what's in front of you, and the Jarpies did the Lions. OK, they needed a last minute penalty, but the Lions played a tough game. It's just the sort of game the Jarpies needed to prepare for the 3N (close win against tough opponents).

I didn't mean that I thought the Jarpies were better than the Wallabies - just that they'd had the best preparation.
