FIREBRAND Springboks back-rower Schalk Burger should be wiped out of the game for least a year if he reverts to any "foul" tactics against the Wallabies on Saturday night, says former Wallaby hooker Tom Lawton.

The pressure will be on the blond bombshell back-rower who is expected to make his return in the Perth Test after serving an eight-week suspension for eye-gouging British Lions winger Luke Fitzgerald during a brutal second Test on June 27.
"The Wallabies are running into a no-holds barred Test against a pretty ferocious South African pack," Lawton warned.
"I've seen broken jaws and teeth knocked out in Tests when it got brutal but there's nothing tough about eye-gouging. It's foul and with no place in any game.
"You've got a bloke done for eight weeks for gouging. If he does it again, throw the book at him and banish him for a year or more.
"It's his teammates, as much as any referee, who should be drawing the line that such incidents are just not on in rugby."

Burger is expected to come off the bench as a shock weapon on Saturday. And the injection of one of rugby's most explosive forwards during the second half would shake up proceedings and provide another big threat for the wounded Wallabies.
South African selectors are likely to stick with the impressive Heinrich Brussow at openside flanker when their side is named today.
During Burger's absence Brussow has proved a revelation with his scavenging work at the breakdown, which has been a key factors in the Springboks' successes.
He was named man of the match in the Springboks' win over the All Blacks on July 25, where he outshone the mighty Richie McCaw.
The stage is now set for a terrific battle between Brussow and Wallabies skipper George Smith at Subiaco Oval a head to head confrontation that will be crucial to the outcome of the game.
Wallabies coach Robbie Deans expects the Springboks to retain the same side, with the only potential alteration being to bring Burger in for Brussow.
"What they are doing is working for them so I can't see them making any changes," Deans said.
