    All Blacks are bad losers

Hamilton – New Zealand confirmed their reputation as bad losers when Springbok centre Jaque Fourie was suspended for four weeks for an alleged spear tackle on Ma’a Nonu in Saturday’s Tri-Nations Test.

All Black lock Brad Thorn was suspended for only a week for a far more serious spear tackle on Bok captain John Smit last year.

Kieran Read, who shoulder-charged Bryan Habana without the ball in Saturday's Test, was not even cited.

The citing commissioner, Scott Nowland, was the same man who suspended Bakkies Botha for legal play against the British and Irish Lions.

Brian O’Driscoll headbutted Danie Rossouw in the same Test without anything being said about the incident.

Wallaby flyhalf Matt Giteau also tried to inflict an injury on Bok scrumhalf Fourie du Preez in this year’s Tri-Nations, but a yellow card was considered sufficient punishment.

Had they been South Africans, Thorn, Read, Giteau and O’Driscoll would have been suspended for a number of weeks.

Blackie where do you find this gibberish?

From a one eyed SA home site... enjoy the moment and purchase mementos because the Boks time is fading...

Jaque Fourie was suspended judiciously… suck it up… and enjoy your tri-nations win…

    BOKKE
“Let me put it this way, A Springbok team contains Afrikaners, Englishmen, coloureds and blacks. It has parochial foes in Bulls, Sharks, Stormers, Cheetahs and Lions. It is a recipe for war! Yet in all the years of John Smit’s captaincy, there has never been one unhappy customer, not one voice of rebellion against his leadership. He is the glue that holds the Springboks together. The man is a legend!”- Jake White

How the hell can New Zealand get blamed because of decisions made by a small group of people that give out suspensions. Who are all neutral anyway and just follow the laws given to them.

There is no point comparing two separate incidents, especially when one can break your neck and one can't....

Every country has had some decisions that have gone against them in the past, but we don't complain every time. The SARU just loves to believe that the whole world is against them because they are too good for everyone else, keep dreaming....

When did the All-Blacks take a 2nd job as the SANZAR judiciary??

This is exactly the reason people dislike SA Rugby- they are to the IRB what the BCC is to cricket, though at least the flowerpot men* were reprimanded ("...or we will send you a very nasty letter") over the "armbands for Bakkies" bulldust.

And yet for forcibly putting his fingers in another persons eyes (which would be a fairly serious criminal offense if done off the rugby field) a serial offender like Schalk Burger only gets 8 weeks?

...because it is in their DNA.

I sense that a new armband will soon be deployed.

Looked like a well deserved suspension to me, when he didn't have the ball and given the accidental knee in the throat.
