Who will be the Western Force Captain while Sharpey is out?

So, the big question behind the news of Sharpey going under the knife, who will attempt to fill his massive boots as the stand in (or perhaps even permanent) Captain of the Force?
Several of our senior players have left us over the last few months and the cupboard is a little bare.
Will it be a senior player for the sake of it, a younger "senior" player for the future or a totally left field choice altogether?

Have listed the ones I feel to be the most likely but have left open for other suggestions as well.

Definitely Pocock. Second options are Hodgson and Shepherd.

Just flicking through the last match program and as far as EWF experience goes

    Tai 51 caps - gone
    Sharpe - 48 caps - injured
    Shep - 42 caps & 327 points
    Matty H - 42 caps
    Browny - 39 caps
    Bam Bam - 37 caps

The numbers say Shep, but I'm with you lot.....Bam Bam get the arm band with Matty H as deputy.

Where's Burgs when we need him.

I'd put a back as VC, probably a good spot for Pretorius to slot in, he's already driving the backline and that would be a natural progression for him, he's massively experienced and would only need to get the respect of new teammates. He's gunna need to do that anyway and therefore he's a good fit for VC.

Other options in the backline are pretty thin, you want your Captain and VC in the thick of it, so Shep's a little far removed for that, he'd do a good job, but playing fullback would make it harder to have the sort of emotional impact that's required. Rabbit's too young, Crossy struggles to dominate consistently, Sheehan's new and cranky, he's just as likely to snap someone (not a good move for the leadership group)Wings are pretty young and untested as well. I guess the talent pool for a VC in the backline is pretty limited, but that's what I'd go with anyway.

There's no accounting for taste SC, if I didn't then more than likely someone would say why isn't he there
Was mainly because he would have to be considered one of the senior players now that so many originals are gone but agree would be a joke.

For the record, obviously Mr Pocock gets my vote.

Chuck Norris has the greatest Poker-Face of all time. He won the 1983 World Series of Poker, despite holding only a Joker, a Get out of Jail Free Monopoly card, a 2 of clubs, 7 of spades and a green #4 card from the game Uno.

“Let me put it this way, A Springbok team contains Afrikaners, Englishmen, coloureds and blacks. It has parochial foes in Bulls, Sharks, Stormers, Cheetahs and Lions. It is a recipe for war! Yet in all the years of John Smit’s captaincy, there has never been one unhappy customer, not one voice of rebellion against his leadership. He is the glue that holds the Springboks together. The man is a legend!”- Jake White

I would slot Sheehan in to Vice captain. He spent a fair bit of time as captain of Warringah and he would be an almost certain starter at 9. He'd be the first WA born vice captain for the Force.

It's all irrelevant anyone since Sharpie will be back and raring by January.
