    Sarries fan wins £250,000

    18 Nov 2009 - 00:30

Saracens changed the life of one lucky fan on Tuesday night as Stuart Tinner won £250,000 at Wembley Stadium.

The Sarries fan from Welwyn in Hertfordshire won the Sarries Crossbar Challenge to kick a ball from 30m and hit the crossbar.

Stuart took to the hallowed Wembley turf at half time to kick in front of nearly 47,000 fans and his kick struck the middle of the crossbar and he walked home £250,000 richer.

He said: "I really can't believe it. It's an amazing feeling and I've just won £250,000 - I'm still in a daze. But it won't change me; I'm still going to work in the morning, but what a night it has been."

Terrible living in the NH - what's the point of having cheerleaders if they have to cover up to keep warm!

To varying degrees Eley, Worcester in May 08 and I had two jersey's, a cap and a scarf on!

A few of them look like they may be questioning their career choice, or practicing birthing contractions...

Nah, too cold to be doing something that slow and boring, just where the shot happened to catch them.

Rugby fan wins $420k with single kick

The last line is a classic!! hahahaha

AN amateur rugby player has won £250,000 ($420,000) in a half-time competition to kick a ball from 30m out and hit the crossbar of the goalposts at London's Wembley Stadium.

Employment center worker Stuart Tinner, who lives at home with his parents, hit the bar with an amazing shot - and all he wore on his feet were socks.

The competition was held at half-time during English rugby club Saracens' 24-23 victory over South Africa yesterday.

The 24-year-old, who plays hooker for Welwyn RFC fifth team in Hertfordshire, was the first of three supporters picked at random from the 46,000 crowd after applying to take part in the competition by text message.

He told Sky Sports: "I guess I just kicked it as hard as I could and I don't really believe what happened.”

After a few drinks with the Saracens team he said: "This is the second best day of my life - the best was when I lost my virginity."

Chuck Norris has the greatest Poker-Face of all time. He won the 1983 World Series of Poker, despite holding only a Joker, a Get out of Jail Free Monopoly card, a 2 of clubs, 7 of spades and a green #4 card from the game Uno.
