Maybe we could set up a beef linkage with Burgs: get beef at reasonable non-supermarket prices, give Burgs enough money to get seats at MES...... win/win

On 4 burner hooded BBQ, I had one side with both burners on low (grill side), and sat the chook on the other side near centre (where it was hottest) - gave it a 1/4 turn every 20 minutes. Roasted and rotissieried (sp?)

On a good barbie with no drafts, you should be able to just have the hotplate burners on low with the chook on the can on the plate, this way the beer boils and steams teh chook on teh inside while being roasted from teh outside, should be fast then - depends on your babrie, best bet is to keep an eye on it first time.
