Australian Broadband Guarantee

Apparently I qualify for the Australian Broadband Guarantee.
Special intro rate from Harbour IT of 500mb Peak & 20gb Off Peak per month, Shaped down to 64kbps.
Maximum $10/month.
Anything in the fine print on the ABG that I should be aware of geek speakers?

500mb peak is kinda sucky! You could blow that in a day depending on wheat you're looking at. Although $10/month is pretty damned cheap (but the cost doubles after the forst 6 months).

Peak/Off peak times look like they are EDST, so would be from 8PM -> 8AM WST which could suit you well anyway.

Doesn't look like any gotchas in the ABG

So - You get 500MB/Month between 8am and 8pm, and 20GB a month 8pm -> 8am (or 9 till 9 when not in daylight savings mode)

When you exceed the 500MB a month, it drops down to dial up speed during teh day, but should bump back up to full speed at night.

$10/month for first 6 monthsm, then $20/month

All in all - it's not too bad for such a price, and if you're on a tight budget - all teh better

Thanks mate, that's how I figured it and anything is better than the 20 mouse power I am on at the moment!
Considerably better than what Activ8me had offered just before Christmas and that am still waiting to hear back from on approval process.
Might actually be able to look at some of the clips everyone puts up too...
