I think it isn't so much about not posting the results, just trying not to give away the result in the wording of the thread title, like "Bulls run over Brumbies late 50-32"

Not necessary. With the right user settings, you can have:
"This message is hidden because mudskipper is on your ignore list."

not really viable to have all the threads titled along these lines:
"click here for the results of the force v 'canes"

a lot of the articles that are posts of media releases give the winner away in their title as well.
the first one that comes to mind is "australia re-lives nightmare" after we got knocked out of the world cup...

pieter is on the money methinks.

It is actually Jono, when you start a thread you have an option as to what the thread title will be, it is often changed from the article title by contributors to reflect their slant on the content or the author.
A thread title can easily read "Round 2 Result Bulls v Brumbies" and then have an article title of "Bulls tear Brumbies a new 'hole".
I'm not saying it should or will be done, but it certainly can be done.
As with PB, if I don't want to know then I just put a complete media ban on the house and vehicle however, sometimes you need a certain email or bit of info, such as the replay time and bang, it's all over.

While on such topics, none of us have an issue with anyone putting up new threads, but can you please firstly have a look through to make sure you aren't duplicating an existing thread and secondly just make a little effort to present the item with a bit of care, especially when copying from another site.
Taking a couple of moments to delete photo formatting and ensuring articles are credited will ensure TWF maintains a certain standard that everyone can appreciate. As a rule, locally sourced articles are just a few sentences and then linked to the original, while those from further afield or linked to one of the major media houses can be (if credited) copied in full.
Overall though, if an article involves facts such as a player profile or team listing then ensure that is included in your post as that is probably what will be referenced throughout the thread by others in replying.
