Blow for Boks as Brussow out for year

South Africa flanker Heinrich Brussow has been ruled out of playing rugby for the rest of the year after tearing knee ligaments in the final minutes of the Cheetahs' Super 14 win over Wellington in Bloemfontein on Saturday.

The 23-year-old loose forward, who has played 13 Tests for the Springboks, will be sidelined for eight months with cruciate ligament damage, the Cheetahs said on their website Monday............

Yeah but he's not quite the same. Brussow was a big part in the Boks success in the Tri-Nations- he'd easily have been the player of the tournament. Besides its been a while since Burger has been in good international form.

Gotta feel for Brussow. Injuries are always that little bit worse when they happen at the end of a game. Probably the Cheetahs season down the crapper too.

Oh no, the best flanker in the world got injured

Seriously though, not good for the boks. But its annoying how they can just bring in a player like Burger as the next best.
