Who should play 10 this week and take the role next year? Mitchell has a lot of options. Watching the reds v brumbies game last night giteau looked very smooth when he moved into 10, but he will probably want to play 12. If gits is playing 12 then mackay would by vying for 10 with hilgendorff, james and daruda. There are 4 options all of which have talent and different strengths. Hilgendorff looked solid at 10 for the few games he played but still had flaws in his game (could have shut up the game against the stormers.) My pick would be Mackay. With gits at 12 we would need size at 10 and mackay provides this. His kicking game isnt too strong but we are able with shephard and giteau to cover this. What are your thoughts?

Yeah, pretty much agree here Zacko.
Gits has indicated that he is coming over as #12 and (strangely enough!) we probably have more 5/8 prospects than the other squads.
I think Daruda is still a couple of seasons away and is possibly a confidence player too, which isn't too handy in a bottom team. James has been more variable than I expected but has an awesome roost when he gets onto it.
As indicated elsewhere, I would go for:
10. MacKay
12. Giteau
21. Hilgendorf
Hilgendorf has proven himself to be a very versatile player and can cover all positions from #10 back, much like Rogers does for the Tahs and Wallabies. However, on his '05 season you would have to put MacKay into the pivot next season.
Perhaps the APC will help sort out some of these dilemmas as I don't think any of them will be in the Wallabies this season.
Without seeing footage of the Cats game I can't comment on who's ready to start this weekend though, so I'll leave that to those who were able to watch.

I think that the APC is going to be a very interesting competition for the Force. particularly if the Force dont have many players in the Wallabies squad.

I am a bit disappointed in the selection of a new number 12 as we have Stanners doing a great job and I think we should have recruited a younger guy to take his place in the future. I am hoping we wont see Stanner knocked out of the starting 15.
I am not privy to the teams future but if stanners is available then he should be 1st pick or maybe he has decide to retire to a lesser role but his onfield proformance is 110%.
At present he is running in the top 10 try scores for the season

Yer we are strong in the backs. We hav some quality players on the bench now. We need to recruit a few forwards. Al Kanaar would be great... n a fetcher like smith or waugh would be awesome
