At Suncorp, for our game, the upper tiers were closed off (except for the blocks at half-way). That kept the crowd from being too sparse.

its actually done to minimise costs, if you dont open a tier up then it means you dont need to staff the area either..

Hmmmmmm. That could become a problem WHEN we do get a stadium. If we don't still manage to fill Subi for the Tests.

On that note..I purchased my tickets soon after they went on presale. Checked today and it seemed that the only tickets left were those at the city end behind the goals ($69). I suspect that the England game will be pretty well sold out before it gets to the general public

pretty sure that since we're not hosting south africa for what seemed to be 3 times in a row, we have a different team to play against who ruined some lovely rwc chances a few years ago and im PRETTY SURE a lot of perthians/others would love to have the opportunity to watch England get smashed. it never gets old.

Haha- bring it on. I've lived in Perth for 13 years and consider myself as Australian as Bon Scott. A few of us will be wearing a Wallaby jumper and the kilt to make it an enjoyable evening of hunting down the pommy gits for some gentle banter......

I'm actually curious as to why there isn't any pressure on the WAFL to close down grounds? I know they've pressured the WACA; Perry Lakes is gone and a replacement built; likewise with the Entertainment Centre being shut and a replacement built; but we still have about seven under-utilised footy grounds in the metro area, which could be put to good use, being used for paltry crowds in the winter only?!
