    This is guessing and someone else may have better info, but I would suspect that the remaining WAFL Clubs either own the land their facilities are on, or have very favourable long term leases from sympathetic landlords (Life Members etc).

    I don't know how far it has progressed but a couple of years ago there was talk of Claremont FC moving to the Showgrounds and selling their land where Claremont Oval is now. It is a prime bit of real estate.

    WACA also owns the land it is on. Shifting Training out to UWA and doing a land development on the Training wickets during the redevelopment

    They were only moving there for a couple of years because Claremont Oval is going to be redevelopment and apartments added around it, then they would move back again. I also saw mention of the Weagles basing themselves around Claremont Showgrounds. Since they have the same colours, it makes sense.
