    Western Force and Australian Wallaby fullback Cameron Shepherd has been convicted of driving a car while his licence was suspended.
    In Perth Magistrates Court yesterday, police prosecutor Gary Gillam said that on March 30 in inner-suburban Wembley, Shepherd was caught driving despite his licence having been cancelled until July 19.
    The rugby star's licence had been suspended because of another driving offence in 2008.
    Shepherd, 26, did not appear in court as he is with the Force in Bloemfontein preparing for the second Super XIV match of their three-week South African campaign.
    He entered an endorsed plea of guilty and Magistrate Paul Heaney fined him $400 and suspended his drivers' licence for a further nine months.
    Shepherd has played 48 times for the Force and nine times for the Wallabies.
    RugbyWA has been contacted for comment.
