    Inspirational Huxley joins Rebels

Fit-again backline star Julian Huxley will quit the ACT Brumbies to join new Super 15 franchise Melbourne Rebels in 2011.

Huxley quit rugby union in 2008 when he was diagnosed with a brain tumour after rising to the international scene as a regular with the Wallabies.

The full-back and fly half returned to action in the Super 14 in March, and the 30-year-old will link up with Rod Macqueen as the Rebels' 19th signing.

"I've had amazing support from the Brumbies and the rugby community in Canberra, particularly over the last two years, and now need to start a new chapter in my life," Huxley said in a statement.

"It's very rare to get the opportunity to be a part of a start-up, to help build the foundations of a club. I am extremely fortunate to have this chance."

Macqueen was glowing in his appraisal of Huxley.

"Julian has shown great form since his return. He brings with him a fantastic attitude to life and the game we can all learn from," he said.

"He is an intelligent player who will make a significant contribution to the Rebels."

Good luck to him, I'm glad he's signed with them, it allows me to support him since he's not playing for a team I (now) hate!
