Randwick have achieved the rare feat of beating Sydney University twice in one season with a bonus point win over the defending champions at Coogee Oval. Southern Districts, Manly and Eastern Suburbs all recorded bonus point wins while Warringah moved into the top six with victory over Eastwood. The Rats moved just ahead of West Harbour on the ladder after the Pirates were upset by Northern Suburbs.

Randwick v Sydney University at Coogee Oval
Randwick have made all other Tooheys New Shute Shield contenders sit up and take notice after their 34-25 victory over Sydney University at Coogee Oval.
HSBC Waratahs stars Drew Mitchell and Kurtley Beale along with hard-hitting flanker Seilala Lam were standouts for the home side that arrested a slide in form which had seen the Galloping Greens drop three of their past four matches.
Sydney University dominated the opening ten minutes but were unable to get on the board despite being camped in their opponents half, and Randwick made them pay by scoring first. Drew Mitchell touched down for one of the tries of the season when he beat half the Students side in a 50 metre kick-return that resulted in an eye-catching solo try.
A Kurtley Beale penalty soon after extended the margin to ten points before Tom Tombleson crossed in the right corner for the Wicks' second try. Beale's sideline conversion gave the home side a 17-0 lead after 20 minutes.
Uni finally got on the board when Nick Phipps scampered five metres from the scrumbase to score in the 30th minute. Julian Huxley added the extras then knocked over a penalty to reduce Randwick's lead to a converted try closing in on the break.
However a penalty on the stroke of half-time saw Beale successful with his fourth kick of the day to send the home side to the sheds with a 20-10 lead.
With Berrick Barnes coming on from the bench early in the first half, Uni further bolstered their stocks at half-time by bringing on Western Force forwards Ben McCalman and Nathan Charles. And it was immediate forward pressure which bore fruit five minutes after the break with Melbourne-bound Tim Davidson crashing over from short range.
Just when it looked like the momentum may be shifting back to the Students, Kurtley Beale showed great footwork to beat Michael Hodge and run 20m to score in the left corner. He failed with his sideline conversion attempt into the wind leaving Randwick with a 25-17 advantage.
The match turned into an arm wrestle and the tide shifted back to the Students when another Force forward Jono Jenkins ploughed over for the Students in the 66th minute. Huxley's conversion made it a one-point game.
The see-sawing nature of the second half swung back Randwick's way almost immediately when Kurtley Beale chipped deep after a turnover with Nick Cummins getting a good bounce to beat Peter Betham to the ball and the tryline. Beale guided the conversion over to reinstate the eight-point lead going into the final ten minutes.
Uni still had the chance to at least earn a bonus point out of the match however Beale's third penalty in the closing stages took Randwick to the final score of 35-24.
The result keeps Randwick in fifth with a seven-point buffer to sixth-placed Warringah, while the Students slip from seventh to ninth.

Eastern Suburbs v Penrith at Woollahra Oval
Eastern Suburbs has again shown its premiership credentials with a 75-17 victory over Penrith at Woollahra Oval.
The Beasts ran in eleven tries to three with Australian U20 wing Damon Anderson grabbing a hat-trick. Centres Anton Lavin and Ryan Cross each scored doubles while Brendan McKibbin continued his strong point-scoring form with eight conversions.
Easts remain in fourth position on the ladder while Penrith have the opportunity to leapfrog Gordon when they face the Highlanders on Tuesday night in a rescheduled match at Chatswood Oval.

Northern Suburbs v West Harbour at North Sydney Oval
Northern Suburbs has not given up on their playoff hopes after recording a 37-24 victory over West Harbour at North Sydney Oval.
Western Force back Cameron Shepherd crossed twice for the Shoremen while former Reds flanker AJ Gilbert scored one of Norths' four tries on debut.
West Harbour also crossed for four tries to earn a bonus point, however 17 points from the boot of Chris Burnett proved the difference with four conversions and three penalties delivering the victory.
The result sees West Harbour drop one point outside the top six, while the Shoremen now sit just one point behind the seventh-placed Pirates.

Warringah has taken down the form side of the competition with a hard-fought 23-18 victory over Eastwood at Pittwater Rugby Park.
Two first half tries to Josh Holmes helped open a match-winning 20-5 lead at the break which Eastwood were never able to reel in.
Each side crossed just twice with John Grant also notching a double for Eastwood, however Brett Sheehan's strong kicking form continued with three penalties and two conversions.
Eastwood drop from second to third on the competition ladder, however the result was more important for the Rats who have now edged inside the top six.

Southern Districts has recovered from their first loss of 2010 to record a comprehensive 40-17 victory over Gordon at Forshaw Rugby Park.
The Rebels opened up a 12-0 lead at half-time then ran in three tries to two in the second half to secure their eleventh win of the season.
Souths now have a seven-point lead at the top of the Tooheys New Shute Shield ladder while Gordon remain in tenth just one-point ahead of Penrith who they face in a catch-up game on Tuesday night.

Parramatta v Manly at Granville Park
A late flurry of points has delivered Manly a comprehensive 48-21 victory over Parramatta at Granville Park, however the result was still in the balance at the 70-minute mark.
After going down to Manly 111-0 in round one, the Two Blues were in a position to deliver an emphatic turnaround when they trailed 21-27 with just ten minutes to play.
However the Marlins class shone through to the 80th minute with three late tries resulting in a score more in line with what most predicted before the game.
The bonus point win sees Manly leapfrog Eastwood into second place on the competition ladder.
