    my sites are on Linux also.. don't think anyone bothers with Windows web servers these days

    I've been cranking up putty a bit lately, almost got some a nice script running that backs up my db to the dev db, copy the site's files to my dev subdomain and takes most of the pain out of a dev refresh ..

    my personal website is run off IIS. I don't use linux at home because i think its crap for a home environment and its much easier to set up than Apache.
