    Boks emblem bumped off

    October 2, 2010
Players in South Africa's world champion rugby team will wear the Springbok emblem on their sleeves at next year's World Cup in New Zealand, Sport24 reported, without citing a source.
The leaping antelope badge will be moved to comply with World Cup and government regulations, the report said. Government regulations require the King Protea, the national flower, to be worn on the left breast.
The South African Rugby Union was expected to announce the decision when it unveiled a supporters' version of the World Cup jersey.
The century-old Springbok emblem became synonymous with apartheid during that infamous era when the national teams were mostly whites-only.

The black politicians will go out of their way to destroy everything that is meaningful to South Africans and made them proud.

South Africa will follow the same path as Zim It will just happen much faster

I say ask Chester Williams for the final vote.

Pretty sure he'd want to keep it.

antelope covers a very wide range of species. a springbok is a member of the gazelle familly.

calling a springbok an antelope is akin to calling an Orca (aka "killer whale") a dolphin.

Considering their recent form - good analogy

but an Orca IS a dolphin, the largest dolphin in the world.

You can't pick and choose what order or family you're in. Would you prefer humans to be dogs? or possibly dolphins?

using the term antelope rather than the specific term was simply a different way of referring to it without repetition. You're playing jingoistic semantics to take offence.

    If I wrote the sentence

The Orca is one of the most effective hunters in the ocean. This large dolphin tends to hunt in packs much like the wolf. Would you have an issue?.....I think not!
