    Bayonne sign Wallaby lock Chisholm

Any Brumbies NOT going to France?

Brumbies lock Mark Chisholm has penned a two-year deal with French Top 14 side Bayonne starting next season.

The 29-year-old Wallaby, capped 13 times and likely to go to the World Cup later this year, signed a the contract with the option of an extra year with Bayonne, who just missed out on the title play-offs this season.

Chisholm is the fourth big-name acquisition for next season made by Bayonne.

He joins former All Black internationals Sione Lauaki, who signed a three-year contract from French champions Clermont, and Neemia Tialata, who put pen to paper on a two-year deal from Super Rugby outfit Wellington Hurricanes.

Veteran France international utility back Cedric Heymans, who was named in the 32-man squad for the World Cup last week, has also signed from Toulouse.
However, Bayonne manager Christian Gajana said they had terminated talks with Heymans' Toulouse team-mate Frederic Michalak, the mercurially gifted former France fly-half/scrum-half.

Jake White is going to arrive to a empty playing shed if these guys keep on flying the coop.

    AAC- Gone
    Giteau- Gone
    Chisolm- Gone
    Rocky- Supposedly Gone
    Ma'afu- Supposedly Gone

Anyone heard of any more departures?

One thing for sure JO'C will not be heading to the Brumbies they are in worse shape than us.

It's not such a bad place to visit. As long as you don't run into any Tahds.

adieux à Chiz... enjoy & best of the luck... It will be intersting to see who Jake White signs. Brumbies will need a few solid forwards.

Sounds like teh popular Mountain man Laurie Fisher maybe coming back as forwards coach. In February 2011 Munster Rugby announced that Laurie Fisher will end his association with the Irish Province at the close of the current season. During his time at the Irish Provence, Munster have won the Magners League title, contested two Heineken and one Magners League semi final, currently lead the Magners League by nine points and continue their European campaign with an Amlin Challenge quarter final in April.

Laurie is a great forwards coach and player motivator, he'll be a great help to Jake White.

I'm not sure whether it's still the case, but Ireland used to push their best forwards towards Munster so that they'd learn to play as a pack.

Just saying, maybe Munster's dominance isn't all down to Fisher.

Laurie is a retrograde step. He did nothing and reaks of failure. White had nothing to do with this signing but it smells of management keeping a hold on "Brumby culture and style" and keeping a foot in the camp of White who no doubt plans an upheaval.

With the number of players heading north following the RWC, will the ARU give the Brumbies additional foreign player places? I mean, at least the Brumbies have an academy to call on to re-stock.

    What's that Mr O'Neill? Oh.
