News-Flash Stannard Acquitted

A high priced QC briefed by the Palmyra Rugby Club tonight secured the acquittal of James Stannard from a serious, career ending charge of referee abuse.

Geoffrey Robinson Esq. brought the proceedings to a shuddering halt by uttering the immortal words " Youse all suck, and my client plays for the Force, nya nya, nya nya!"

Probably a fair result for James. Should never have been a red card in the first place. Crap decisions from a precious referee all day.

Comical to watch, and listen to the video of the match, and the conversation between the ref and players over this incident.

I really don't think the player that allegedly stood on James's hand was going to send that letter in to the judiciary though Mr President.

His offence, giving a mouthful to an opponent whom he believed deliberately stomped on his hand. Though informed, the Ref assumed for some reason, still to be explained ,that he was directing his comments towards him.
