With the iPad you sync with your PC via cable or wireless to the PC via iTunes.

The Samsung tablet does the same via Kies or you can get a cable that takes a USB and do the same.

All of them connect to your home wireless via an easy set up.

What would be the best way for setting up a WiFi Network at home if I am to get myself and the Zoe Monster tablets (Nexus 7 at this stage)?

so? i have apple TV, can access my media centre from my ipad or my phone,
and seeing as my Tivo records straight to my media centre so i can always fast forward ads
and all my music/movies/tv shows. can start playing music from anywhere in the house through my stereo as well...


oh, and i can write my name in the snow seeing as we seem to be playing

I downloaded an app which should have let me control the TV in the Moon & Sixpence! Didn't work, though - would have been a good laugh!

Cool - too easy. Just use the wireless functionality of your modem for you both to connect to while at home. If you're not sure how to do it, I recommend calling your closest Uni/Tafe and ask if one of the computer studies students is interested in earning some $. You'll find it cheaper than getting a tech in. Or, Tel$tra help desk may be able to help (?)

When you're out and about and want to use it, the easiest thing to do is get a mobile wifi device - I have a Vodafone one I use in my job. Tel$tra have them also and while offering the best mobile reception there plans aren't always that great - but if you're a client currently you should sweet talk them for a deal.

The easiest solution of all is to get a 3G tablet, but that's a more expensive option. The tablet uses your modem wifi at home and when you're away from the house, it uses Tel$tra network via a SIM.

Android tablets/phones can connect to shares on PC's - there is at least one, and likely many more, apps to facilitate this - ES File Explorer.

You can also plug a OTG USB cable into an android device and transfer data direct with help of another app to/from say a thumb drive - I am yet to need or attempt this, but I've been told it works a treat.

Those who are stuck with an iPad can transfer files quickly and easily using one of the many cloud storage solutions available. I use demonic because it's free, pretty functional and not apple. When I buy a new tablet it'll be a Droid, but I'll still use dropbox
